Silva And Gastelum Will Throw Down At UFC Shanghai Finally

The UFC and the Spider have made up apparently.

The last time people heard from Anderson Silva, was not happy with the Dana White the UFC president after UFC unwilling to secure a worthy opponent for him for a card in Rio. However, despite the up and downs between the relationship of Silva with UFC, he will return to action for the first card of UFC in Shanghai, China. The opponent of Silva, Kelvin Gastelum, who was in the beginning set to fight with Silva in Rio, scuttled the bout.

The Shanghai card of UFC will take place on 25th November and marks the first card will take place in China. A last card in the Macau ‘Las Vegas of Asia’ is technically the part of the region of autonomy to the Hong Kong west.

Anderson Silva is facing a hard time and he had a difficult couple of years after losing his first fight in 17 matches against Chris Weidman in the year 2013. In addition to that fight, he has gone 4-1-1, with a victory against Nick Diaz reversed to a “No Contest” after “The Spider” tested positive for androsterone and drostanolone. The record of Silva could have gone even worse, but a decision against Derek Brunson came as a gift for him brings him back in the win column.

On the other hand, Kelvin Gastelum is seeking to bounce back from a loss to Chris Weidman. Prior to that he got win in three fights with victories over Tim Kennedy, Vitor Belfort and Johny Hendricks. The last fight of his turned to a No Contest because of the aforementioned marijuana drug failure. Though, we doubt that would have helped him knockout Belfort, thus it is also considered as a win.
