Anderson Silva wants Luke Rockhold of Strike Force

The management team of the Ultimate Fighting Championship or UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva would love to see The Spider defend his title against Luke Rockhold, the Strike Force Middleweight champion. This stunning claim was made by the Mixed Martial Arts writers who appeared at UFC Tonight on FUEL TV. And if this plan from the management team of Silva does go ahead as planned, then the likes of Tim Boetsch, Michael Bisping, Hector Lombard and Chris Weidman will find themselves in a long queue for the UFC Middleweight Championship.

According to the reports, a manager of Silva has stated that when it comes to Hector Lombard, he needs at least three to four more wins in the company before he is ready to take on The Spider for the title. He went on to add that almost 85% of the UFC fans have no idea who Hector Lombard is. Lombard, the former Bellator Middleweight champion will be making his debut on Saturday against Boetsch.

With the impressive knockout victory of Anderson Silva over Chael Sonnen at UFC 148, his representatives believe that they are in the perfect position to call the shots in the UFC. Speaking of Chris Weidman, his manager stated that he is another of those unknown quantities in the UFC and needs to prove himself inside the ring before being given a UFC Middleweight Championship fight.

And the management team specifically mentioned the name of Luke Rockhold as a potential opponent, according to the report. However, with his contractual obligations to Strike Force, there is almost no chance that the fight will happen. But the camp of Anderson Silva is confident that Zuffa, the parent body of both the organizations, will come up with some measure to ensure that the super fight between the two Middleweight champions does happen.
